Mission
Daniel Grenblad, you need a purpose! I have realized the benefit of knowing the goal and motivating factors in what one pursues. This led me to formulate my personal mission statement:
My mission as a professional is to contribute to academic research in marketing and to disseminate marketing knowledge so that the needs of people and society can be better met.
Biography
I am currently a PhD Candidate at Stockholm School of Economics (Handelshögskolan i Stockholm). My organizational belonging is with the Department of Marketing and Strategy (more specifically with the D-section, i.e. Marketing, Distribution, and Industry Dynamics). This activity represents my third career.
Prior to this, I worked with marketing and sales in the software industry. I have also worked in the music industry for several years. My educational background includes an MSc in Business with a focus on Business Strategy at Linköping University, and a University Diploma in Engineering at Mälardalen University College.
Occasionally, I perform consulting for talented individuals, companies, and government organizations. My services include e.g. business development, market analysis, and marketing strategy. Consulting is a way for me to make better prioritizations within my academic research and assure its relevancy to business practice. Yet, as my mission statement also reads, academic research is my first priority.
